The word
MESOTHERAPY comes from a Greek word ‘’mesos’’ which means medium, and a word ‘’therapy’’, namely, a medical treatment. Mezotherapy originated in France in 1952, and was developed by Dr. Michael Pistor. The goal of Dr. Pistor was to inject a small amount of medicaments, a small number of times, in right the exact spot. This procedure was officially accepted from French ‘’Academie de Medicine’’ in 1987 and was put on the list of medical procedures financed from the French health fond.
Mezotherapy can be:
• Invasive when it’s done with needles
• Noninvasive mezoporation
Goal is to introduce pharmaceutical and homeopathic medicaments, herbal extracts, vitamins and other preparations slightly beneath the surface or into deeper layers of skin. when these medicaments are introduced orally, liver and belly destroy a large portion of it and the rest is spread throughout the body, which can cause unwanted effects, and only a small portion will get into the areas where it’s needed. Besides that, the amount of injected medicaments is only 1% of the amount which is used in normal treatments, which, again, reduces side effects and avoids that body becomes completely immune to certain medications. Combination of vitamins, herbal products and medications which are introduced are specially made for each patient so the optimum results could be accomplished. Doctor in charge, during the talk and examination of the patient takes into consideration many factors such as genetic predisposition, sex, and type of layers of fat and their disposition, age and health condition…
More that 90% of women have problems with cellulite. This state can blemish the looks and influence the sense of self-respect and happiness with yourself. It is often said that there is no permanent solution of this problem. However, that is not true because Mesotherapy is safe and successful method in many countries of Europe and America for years. As the skin ages in time, collagen and binding tissue lose their elasticity and become more obsolete. Metabolic, endocrine and cardiovascular system can also influence the process of aging, which can bring to incapability for effective removal of wasteful products of metabolism. Lymph drainage and circulation also become endangered. Because of that there is an accumulation of toxins which can cause change in binding tissue and fat cells. Fat cells enhance and compromise the circulation which can cause swelling and hypoxia. Lack of oxygen triggers creation of binding tissue, i.e. barriers that get rougher in time. Fat cells, due to their enhancement, move from their original positions towards the surface of the skin and it can be seen as a bump, and already formed binding tissue pulls the surface of skin down. All this gives a look of a mattress or a crust.
There are four stadium of cellulite, each of which demands a different approach and treatment:
• Stadium 0: cellulite is not visible, even when the skin is pinched or pressed
• Stadium 1: cellulite is not visible when one is standing or sitting, but is present when the skin is pinched or pressed
• Stadium 2: cellulite is visible when one is standing, but is not visible when one is laying
• Stadium 3: cellulite is visible when standing or laying.
