Sharp Light

Sharp Light system enables non-invasive and painless treatment for permanent removal of unwanted hair. It is suitable for all parts of the face and body. This unique technology is safe and reliable, provides excellent results without the inconvenience.

Basic principles of epilation with Sharp Light system:

The method is based on absorption of light by melanin, the pigment in the hair follicle. The absorbed light energy in the hair follicle is converted into heat, which coagulates it, and as a result, it is impossible for hair to growth from the follicle.

For each patient the optimal parameters are set, according to skin type, hair color, thickness and density of hairs, with the aim of achieving a more efficient treatment without damaging the skin. Only follicles in the active growth phase have enough pigment to absorb light and reach the required temperature.

Average hair growth is 0.35mm per day, depending on the region of the body, age and gender. Typically it’s necessary to do: 5 - 7 treatments, at intervals of 4 - 12 weeks. At any time, 20-25% of hair follicles are in the active growth phase, and it represents a percentage of follicles that can be destroyed by a single treatment. Therefore, treatment should be repeated in order to eliminate the 70-90% of the hair follicles and achieve the desired result. This method is based on the "selective photothermolysis", which involves the selective destruction of the hair without damaging the surrounding tissues.
